Presented by GooglePlay, this documentary takes us behind the scenes with Kendrick and sheds a lot of light on who he is both personally and artistically.
While it’s a bit early to throw around the label classic, Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, m.A.A.d city album certainly feels like a contender. Google Play recently caught up with Kendrick, as well as members of his Top Dawg Entertainment crew, to trace how a kid from Compton came up through the ranks to create one of the most revelatory and anticipated albums of the year. It’s a raw, exclusive peek into the mind’s of hip-hop’s most compelling figure in 2012.
Following up the darkly titled “Plague” and “Wrath of God,” Crystal Castles bring us a little salvation in the form of a big-sounding, strangely soothing trance-lullaby called “Affection,” which feels equally appropriate played at a whisper or on full-blast. Even the morose like to rage somtimes. Crystal Castles’ new album III is out November 12th on Casablanca/Fiction/Universal Republic

Directed by Qarim Brown & Gilbere Forte
Philly’s own Gilbere Forte comes with a dope visual to go with the Fiona Apple sampled track “Pray“. The track is apparently the lead single of a forthcoming short film that we’re assuming is being put together by Gilbere and Anigma / Man+Machine.
Flatbush Zombies are coming up quick in the hip hop game. We stopped by their headquarters and interviewed the hell out of them. They talk about pretty much everything you didn’t know about them.
