OG Chase B. releases his newest Illroots Radio mix just in time for SXSW. We have some cool shit in the works with Chase. Stay Tuned!
It’s that time of the year. You know the ILLROOTS Family has a ton of love for Texas and the South in general. Being that the OG Chase B hails from Houston, it was only right that we did a special edition of ILLROOTS Radio for SXSW. This one is a bit different, focusing more on our favorite songs that fit the enviroment as opposed to the latest and greatest. We’re about to go ham all week, look out for us at The ILLMORE and all over the city of Austin passing out shirts, stickers and hard copies. Stream above and download below with classic tracks from Paul Wall, UGK, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Kanye West, Rich Boy, Trick Daddy, Curren$y, The Cool Kids, Jay-Z, Juvenile, Lil’ Boosie and many more.
Proud to share with you the first visual off Wonda’s “The Naked Girl From The Internet” tape. The song is “When The Drums Come in at 2:08″ produced by MORRI$. Keeping with the internet-driven theme of the album, the visuals were shot remotely in Chicago, and sent back to me in NYC for editing. The video takes you through the process of Wonda explaining to his significant other that he’s cheated, going from a vague, abstract description before the drums come in, to a literal, visceral explanation when the drums drop. Stay tuned at TheWonda.com for more music, and sneak peaks at the “Please Don’t Listen To This Song” video that’s currently in post production.
Fresh off the release of The Naked Girl From The Internet, Wonda drops off another 14 tracks to top off the end of the year. Click the cover (artwork by Glassface) to download the album, or stream it right here or on AudioMack as separate tracks.
